20+ years of making technology do things it wasn't supposed to do

I solve problems for a living. I create them for fun.

I'm a software engineer by profession, but a tinkerer at heart. That's a polite way of saying I'll absolutely take something apart just to see if I can make it better.

I'm passionate about building secure systems and making Generative AI do things it probably shouldn't. These days I get paid for it: device security at 1Password, where cryptography and AI collide. My childhood idol, MacGyver, would be proud. Or concerned, given the lack of duct tape involved.

When I'm not shipping production code, I'm experimenting with side projects, contributing to open source, and diving deep into whatever catches my attention. Want the full résumé? That's on LinkedIn. Want the real me? Check out the blog — it gets weird.

Where I put the code I'm not ashamed of. And, well… the rest of it too.

Signal, X, YouTube, and a GPG key — because a security engineer without one would be embarrassing.
